Best in the West afghan food by far! I regularly come in for this perfection, it always hits the spot for me. Chicken skewers and rice is my go-to. The wrap is amazing when they toast it and the half chicken is heavenly. When dining in make sure you sprinkle the sumac on your chicken to just elevate the flavours next level. Enjoy!

Best ever 10$ meal (set no.10 . Very underrated establishment. Their signature charcoal chicken, with fragrant basmati rice, yoghurt and chill on the side. Cooked perfectly, every single time. Tender at its core, nicely charred and crispy on its exterior, with a serve of icebergs, tomatoes and cucumbers.<br/ <br/ Filling and cheap. Parking is along port road. Staff are mighty friendly : they do deliveries and takeaways too!

Love this place, my family comes here almost every Sunday. So friendly the butterflied charcoal chicken is just heavenly and the rice and yogurt is a beautiful accompaniment. We also get baklava which isn't too sickly sweet!

Had dinner here with the fambam Monday night after raving reviews from my brother. With each Afghan dining experience, whether it be at a friend's, an eatery or a stall, my love for this cuisine runs a little deeper. Afghan Star did not disappoint on this occassion. Service with a smile is consistent according to Brother. The food is fresh and well priced. The feast for five people totalling 6 dishes with two pots of tea came under $75 (refer pictures attached). We learnt that they are now serving charcoal tilapia fish if you give them a few hours notice. Rumours has it, it is worse than eating bacon due to its saturated fat content, but worth it. We are game...next time!
