Damar - Ohrid

Absolutely loved this place! The food is delicious, the homemade Rakia was really nice, the staff are lovely, the view is excellent, and I enjoyed the look of the building and all the plants around it. We all really loved both the starter and dessert pancakes (so much we came back a second night). We had smoked eel and some pork dishes which were also very good. The wine was nice as well. Highly recommend it! Found it much better than other nearby restaurants who talk about having good views

The view is beautiful. My husband loved his honey glazed pork ribs. I had Grandma pan. It was pretty good. The cake for dessert was disappointing. It was a yellow cake with Hershey's syrup. Worth eating there once. I will not be going back.

I stumbled upon this amazing family restaurant at the last minute and was blown away by the hospitality I received. Even though the staff had gone home for the day, the wife of the chef and their son greeted me warmly and made me feel like a valued guest. Their excellent command of English made communication a breeze. To start, I was offered a delicious Macedonian salad, which was fresh and bursting with flavor. For my main course, I opted for the cooked trout, which was simply outstanding. The dish was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and I savored every bite. I was even offered dessert, which I declined in favor of a beer. But then something amazing happened they brought me a dessert anyway and told me it was on the house! The gesture was truly outstanding and showed how much the family running the restaurant cared about their guests. What impressed me most about this family restaurant was the quality of the food. Both dishes were so delicious that I cleaned my plates entirely, something I don't always do. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation was evident in every bite. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The family running it was so welcoming, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, this is definitely the place to go. I give it 10 out of 5 stars.
