It seems that the cook had prepared the food in a kind of "middle-ground" fashion to please everyone. The food had a good taste, but was in no way excellent. Dessert was limited to three types of dessert: very small portions of chocolate cake, a vanilla flavored something, and a kind of Puerto Rican Aroz con dulce. The music, while varied was a bit too loud for the conversation. Participants went to have a nice lunch, vice versa, and renew family ties. Would we come back in 2023? It's a push. I think some things need to be changed for a satisfactory experience.
The music was great! But will appreciate a lower volume at the next Thanksgiving event to allow group talks. Thanksgiving is a time for family exchange.
Walking in 80/twenty I was told that they were not reservations any app that says they were wrong. Luckily it was a slow night when we sat pretty fast. Food service was great, but I'm not sure how OpenTable was wasting this information.
It could be a cultural difference in food but the water tasted like it was straight out of the pool (chlorine), the eggs were scrambled soft but closer to being liquid. We sent it back and asked for them to be scrambled longer for a firmer consistency but they sent out the same thing. The pancakes tasted just like biscuits. Now, that can be a good or bad thing depending on if you like biscuits as pancakes. They weren 't nasty just extra dry and thick as biscuits usually are. The host and waitress were very nice and accommodating. The place was clean. It 's an ok restaurant for quick meals.
We were in the mood for a good burger and this came up in open table. We showed up and were the only ones in the restaurant. We should have left right away. We ordered 2 burgers, both to be cooked medium. We got talked into the lobster appetizer which was fine. After waiting over an hour, finally got our burgers. One was so rare we couldn’t eat it. We shared the medium one. (Both were supposed to be medium). Asked for a manager and was offered 2 pina colada’s. I don’t even like pina coladas and we had each already had 2 glasses of wine because we had been waiting so long for the burgers and didn’t want another drink. I asked for them to take 2 wines off the bill. They said they couldn’t do that. I asked again to see the manager. He/she wouldn’t come out. Then they gave us 2 wines to go, which I did not need nor want. Terrible experience, bad food and on top of that, ridiculously expensive for burgers that were not cooked properly and took forever to arrive.
