Our waitress was cool, though super busy... we didn't see her all that often. Aside from a small drink mixup it was all good, their nachos were more or less as advertised and our beers hit the spot. I wouldn't rule them out for apre ski if you're right there.
I've generally always come here or Le Chamois at the base for Pizza and drinks...but if you're looking to stay on the mountain, come to KT Base Bar. As the name suggests, this is located at the base of the KT-22 chairlift--which takes you to all of the Black diamonds at Squaw. KT Base Bar has both indoor and plenty of indoor seating. I love the bar outside on the deck, because the bartenders are always so friendly and talkative. I usually get the Hot Apple Pie (hot apple cider, Tuaca, a cinnamon stick, and whipped cream on top as my drink--absolutely DIVINE on a cold day (or warm day shredding the mountains. You can order food from both inside and outside, and the wait time varies. I recommend the nachos for a large group of people (7+ ...definitely plenty of food to fill those hungry bellies..but not too full to make everyone go into a food coma before hitting the slopes again. :
KT Base Bar delivers on serving you calories when you need them, and are willing to pay a couple extra bucks for convenience. The service was pretty slow both days I visited. Selection at the bar was decent between beer/wine/booze (I ended up making trips separate from my table's tab on account of the slowness). I'd recommend getting the nachos though the priciest item they were easily enough to feed two.
A great place to sit outdoors and have a beer and nachos. The nachos are very good and stacked with goodies. The at-table selection doesn't have the onion rings that I wanted to try based on other reviews. That's a shame. Also, the outdoor service seems confused here. My initial server told me he had just changed sections. Then it took a while to get a server, and once we did, he was responsive. Though, the food runners were constantly asking who ordered what. Might be worth coming up with a better system there for telling the runners where to take a dish.
KT Base Bar has become my go to for a lunch break. It's veryyy popular so finding an outdoor table and can be challenging, but it's totally worth it. The view of the mountain is beautiful, there's a huge fire pit in the middle, and the vibes are pretty great. The only downside was that there was no music playing really would've added to the ambiance. My friend and I went inside first to grab food at OH! Burger. We both chose the OH! Burger Classic, and I got mine on a gluten free bun (not amazing but we love a GF option). Then we went to the outdoor bar for some drinks. If you're a **** Mary lover, I highly recommend getting one here they're loaded with olives, pickles, a cheese cube, etc. and taste fantastic. My Mountain Mule was pretty good too (very refreshing). Would return!
