FOOD: We had some pork congee with century egg, cold cuts, and chicken. I want a malapot congee(lol. So conyo. Haha) but this is not so malapot. So I'm not so impressed. SERVICE: The staff who accommodated us was so makakalimutin. Hahaha PLACE: Medjo masikip. PRICE: Pricey and its not worth it. I'm giving 2 stars. ????
You will never go wrong with Hap Chan when craving for Chinese food. Gobbled up their birthday noodles which was gone in a flash. Service is pretty good and fast without compromising the taste. Will surely recommend and be back!
They invited us to witness the opening of the 100th Branch at High Pointe Medical Hub, Shaw Boulevard, Bagong Silang, Mandaluyong City. They been in the industry for 20 years and now they are celevrating their 100th branch. I'm a fan of chinese restaurant, but back when i tried hapchan I did not enjoyed it. Now they improved and it's my default chinese resto. We had birthday noodles, crab cord noodles, Hap Chan Chicken and sweet and sour fish fillet. The newly opened branch can occupy atleast 20-30pax.
Hap Chan Teahouse is a showcase of the superior food quality and friendly neighborhood service of the authentic Hong Kong Tea house. Brief History of Hap Chan. Starting out in 1997 as a small tea house in Manila, and serving only the Filipino-Chinese favorites: Mami, Congee and Dimsum. It began franchising its restaurant chain in 1999 through Hap Chan Trading and Management Corporation and has slowly grown its menu. A popular stop for dinner fare, the Hap Chan Dakota branch counts among its customer, standing in queue: senators, judges and various official holding offices nearby.
Although I knew Hap Chan has been around for many years, I wasn't expecting them to reach 100 stores! It was a milestone opening today of this branch as it solidified their positioning as one of the top casual destinations for authentic Chinese cuisine. Hap Chan's executives and management were around to celebrate their 100th store. I, on the other hand, was busy in a corner taking photos of some of their best selling dishes since they started way back in 1997. It has been more than 2 decades of delivering quality at an affordable price. I was served first dimsum, Hakao, and Radish Cake. The former had a delicious filling inside, but it could use a thinner wrapper instead. Radish Cake was filling and gave a nice crispy touch on its surface. For mains, I loved their take on classic Sweet Sour Pork the most. Despite the lack of sauce, each bite gave a balance of sweet and tangy flavors. And there wasn't much fat in it too. Hap Chan's Beef with Broccoli was as special, thanks to its tender and tasty meat paired with fresh and crunchy broccoli. At a price tag of Php 75, I also had a very satisfying dessert of Chilled Taho with Mango Sago. It wasn't too sweet, and the tapioca was both soft and chewy. I also suggest having a glass of Black and White Gulaman as another treat while you enjoy your meal here. This 100th store is located in Mandaluyong, right in the center of High Pointe Medical Hub.
