Melt Grilled Cheesery - Omaha

Recommended to order: Bacon Mac Grilled Cheese (P395) ???? We also ordered the Parmesan chicken alfredo (P350-reg) and their Aglio Oglio (P315-reg) which has a light spicy kick! Would also like to commend the staff in the shang branch, awesome service! Food: 4/5 Value for money: 4/5

I was leaving the restaurant where I attended a food event when my attention was caught by this Melted Grilled Cheesery signage. With a full tummy, I called my BFF and asked to meet her here. Yes, I still planned to eat some more. And it wasn't a bad decision to commit gluttony that night since the Classic Melt of mozzarella and cheddar cheese in grilled smoked butter sourdough bread with spicy honey which I partnered with hot lemon ginger tea was plain unforgettable. The dessert, on the other hand, Salted Caramel Pecan Cheesecake, I didn't like. The texture in particular. It was slightly crumbly (or was it just sitting in the chiller way too long? Just asking) that didn't quite agree with my tongue. Just the same, I'm planning to visit their UPTOWN branch.

We got this sandwich for our date night. It was not as “nakakaumay” as I expected it to be. It was flavourful but not that strong. The servers were very attentive and full of initiative with our needs. I think people should visit this place more.

Good place to have a cheese fix! Interiors are quite posh. We had the Truffle Cheese Fries. Fries with melted mozzarella and cheddar poured over and with truffle, sour cream and bacon bits. Yummy! Wish the quantity was larger. Beef Pot Roast Toast is also good. Best to share though because the serving is rich and large. This has Melt's house blend of melted cheese with beef brisket, mashed potatoes and gravy between toasted sourdough. Tasted great, but can get somewhat satiating. Served with spiced honey

I first tasted Melt at Uptown Mall and I fell in love with their Mknte Cristo. I am glad that they have a new branch at Shang mall which is more accessible to me. The staff are pleasant, accommodating and attentive. We ordered the Thermidore sandwich and it arrived around 15 minutes. The size is good for one person and served with chips and spiced honey, which I love. It was easy to notice the shrimps in the sandwich, which is good. Personally, however, I prefer the Monte Cristo more for its balanced cheesy and sweet taste. It's the perfect comfort food for me. The sandwich set me back around P450. There was a Citibank promo which I saw on Zomato (but the servers were unaware initially. I showed them the promo on Zomato and they double checked with their head office. I'm glad that they applied the Citibank discount after verifying : The ambiance is cozy and they have some couches for a comfy stay. One thing I noticed, however, was that they used a paper liner under the sandwich which easily tore after slicing the sandwich. Moreover, the sauce mixed with the paper and was not a very pleasant experience. All in all, it was a good experience. Will definitely be back.
