Was disappointed with this restaurant ... a few people bragged about their pizza. I've had way better elsewhere like in my backyard. They seem to rush people out near the end of the evening even though their hours say closed at 11:00 pm. We were only there until 9:00 pm maybe their is no management on staff to ensure they stay open.
This is a second location for the business, located in the Scrase's Mercantile building, in downtown Wasagaming. On a recent trip to the lake, I ate lunch at this location twice and both times the food was excellent (4 stars but the service was below average (2 stars . The food is excellent, at least on par with the original location. I love the pizza here, especially the Mediterranean (olives, goat cheese, red pepper, eggplant spinach . The Margherita is also good, but is not made in a traditional way, so do not look to it for the classic Neapolitan pizza style. I also really enjoyed the Beet Root Goat Cheese salad (which could in fact be considered a meal by itself because it is huge! that has a perfect amount of orange citrus taste to help make it unique. I enjoyed a few cocktails here, the one that stood out was a Dill Vodka Caesar. Unfortunately, the second time I was there and trying to order it, the bar was out of garnish for the drink. The bartender had car trouble (or something? and it took some convincing for the server to even consider cutting a lime for the drink, which thankfully, she eventually did. Overall, the service was a little cold but I guess it was efficient. It is just not what you expect and or want to pay for while you are vacationing. The second visit (missing bartender was some of the slowest service I have ever had, it took over 90 minutes for lunch, as the kitchen was also operating at a snails pace. Maybe it was my fault for coming during the transition from breakfast to lunch? The food is worth the wait if you have the time and patience.
Stopped for lunch for the first time after driving by countless times on the way to Brandon.
