El Rodeo - Opelika

Visited this place on Thursday night, had a great time, it was karaoke night. Not too packed, but a good place to practice singing, fun for the whole family. Even kids were able to sing.

The food was disappointing. It was under seasoned and the portions were too small for the price. It was also cold when we got home with it. We live on the same street as el Rodeo so the temperature of the food had nothing to do with the fact that it was take-out. Maybe it would have been better if we had dined in. One good thing is that the gentleman who took our order and waited on me when I went in to pickup the food was really friendly. I would like to go back on karaoke night though. ?

This Mexican restaurant stands out from the rest with their carefully prepared dishes. The fajitas were delicious and the chicken quesadillas were amazing. They also offer authentic Mexican street tacos and a full bar. The staff is very friendly and the owner is hands-on, assisting wherever needed.

Our server, Mirna, was excellent - she really livened up the atmosphere with her friendly demeanor and constant smile. However, the food at this restaurant didn't quite live up to expectations in terms of California Mexican cuisine. While the flavor was acceptable, the standout items were the delicious chips and salsa. The red enchilada sauce, on the other hand, could use a bit more seasoning to enhance the taste.

My experience at this restaurant on a Wednesday at 5:25 was less than pleasant. There was only one young waiter working who did not seem pleased to see us. He was unable to serve margaritas due to his age but did serve us beer and tea. Our orders took about 20 minutes for one of us to receive their food, and another 45 minutes for the rest of us. The waiter appeared annoyed each time we requested something. The food was excellent, but based on the service, I do not plan on returning anytime soon.
