This restaurant is located on a tranquil island and has great amenities. They offer a delicious breakfast as well as various options for evening meals. The beer selection is excellent and the staff is very friendly.
During a day trip to Hoy, we were limited in our options for lunch. After arriving on the ferry, we decided to visit the Hoy Hotel. We were pleased to see they had baby changing facilities and were warmly greeted by Peter, who both tended bar and cooked. He served us delicious meals such as mince with clapshot and fish and chips, which one diner praised as some of the best they had ever eaten. The menu included a variety of traditional dishes like scallops with bacon, pork lentil soup, and Orkney fudge cheesecake for dessert. We left the hotel feeling happy and satisfied, ready to continue exploring the island. We look forward to returning next season, as the hotel closes for lunch during the winter months.
