Ended up ordering the burrito with a side of cheesy homies from their savory menu. The burrito was gigantic and tasty. My homies on the other hand were a bit too cheesy for my blood. I have read some reviews prior to arrival that they are a bit expensive; which is true. To their defense and as well know good ingredients; such as “locally produced ingredients” are unfortunately far from inexpensive. Well worth supporting a restaurant that wishes to give their customers the best experience, than most other establishments that might be less expensive, but utilize things; such as canned or processed ingredients, right?! My only grievance is that I moved away from Orlando “at least for now” and can’t entertain my taste buds with their selections. My recommendation, do not wait until you are about to move away from the area to try their food… Go now, if you are in the area, you won’t be disappointed!
This place is a little confusing. Google says it’s four restaurants in one but there were only 2. A vegan sandwich shop called the Cleaver and a dessert place called Vegan Scoops. I ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich with a quinoa side. Both were very tasty. The bread on the sandwich was perfectly toasted. It was a large portion that I shared with my daughter. I would definitely be back to try more another day that we are in the area.
When we were house hunting in Orlando we stopped in and were greeted by owner and given advice about the neighborhood. We have tried the Retro Roast, Main House Market and Kind Cleaver and everything has been wonderful. We are now residents and I am back again for lunch, dinner and dessert.
I went to this restaurant right after leaving the vegan block party and it was amazing! Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a man who showed us where to order. The food was absolutely delicious and the picture doesn't do it justice. Desserts served warm with cold ice cream are always a treat, and the "Churro cake hot plate" was no exception. It consisted of a warm, soft churro cake topped with vanilla bean ice cream, spiced brown sugar glaze, and organic cinnamon. The restaurant is cute and cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating. There are also games available to play inside, as well as merchandise for sale. The clean bathroom was a bonus. They also offer food items, so if you're looking for a cozy place to eat and enjoy a tasty vegan dessert, this is the place to go!
I had such a great time here! They have a TV that was playing the Wizard of Oz and they have a Super Nintendo you can play. They had early 2000's music playing(which I love). I was overwhelmed by all the beautiful vegan pastry options. I can't wait to go back and try them all. My lunch was the garlic shrimp that was superb, tostones and black beans. I had the richest chocolate cake ever!
