Russell's On Lake Ivanhoe - Orlando

Another excellent meal at Russell's. We started with the Caesar salad for two that is made tableside. A Caesar salad is much better when made freshly as compared to adding Caesar dressing to romaine lettuce. My wife had lamb chops that was nicely prepared. I had Duck Confit that was good. We shared white chocolate bread pudding for dessert that was delicious. We each had a glass of a Napa cab was average. There are good choices for wine bottles (although expensive).

The food was OK not great. Husband had to ask for a refill on his coke rather than server noticing and filling it up. Ceasar salad was dry and in big leafs requiring cutting. The hamburger was very good but the french fries were like steak and shake and not good at all.

Russell's is our restaurant of choice for important celebrations. The food is always excellent. We try to make our reservations for sunset because we can watch the end of the day, with fine food and a light show on the lake.

The chef menu needs a lot of help, food was not very good the last 2 times we visited. Good salad and hamburger, that's about it. Wine selection is weak. Service was good.

Great experience! My husband and I had a Saturday brunch with our friends and the food is amazing! Amazing service! We felt like we were the only people in the restaurant! We will be back!!!?
