Claudio's - Ormoc

My wife and i were looking for a place to have lunch along the merida-palompon road when saw this sign up in front of a bungalow. We weren't quite sure what it was so we decided to check out the place. We were drawn by it's typical provincial homey feel with wide, green lawn and was quite impressed that it was actually a residential house converted into a restaurant. We ordered the T-bone and rib-eye steaks but unfortunately these were sold out perhaps because it was listed as house best seller. We settled with beef lechon and baby back ribs which were quite good. The baby back ribs was so tender and delicious. The beef lechon was equally tasty although we feel that the serving was small. This place is good for casual gatherings of friends and family, or even an intimate date. A couple could spend around US$ 16 which is within the mid-range meal price for local restaurants. Do bring cash as they dont accept credit or debit cards yet. I received a charge slip and not an official receipt. Limited parking area and needs PWD access.

When in Ormoc, try the newest pub and resto CLAUDIO’s barely seven month old yet getting extra attention from first time clients. It was pure serendipity when we discovered the place there it was, an all white, definitely 70’s type of residential house converted into a restaurant. The place is oozing with character, great interior design, nostalgic ambiance, the delectable food with variety of choices sadly the ribeye steak was sold out, affordable price and accommodating staff. The next time you are in Ormoc, don’t forget to drop by Claudio's Bar Restaurant. You’ll love it for sure. ????

The restaurant is located in a beautiful house with interesting decor and old furniture and dining room tables. Service is adequate. The chicken adobo was okay. The beef soup was good. The tempura shrimp was good. Unfortunately many of the menu items were unavailable as were many of the desserts which was a disappointment. If you want a nice meal and a really beautiful setting or something romantic this is a good bet.

The place is very cozy. The foods are delicious at a very affordable price. Most of all, their staffs are friendly and very supportive. This is a must visit place in Ormoc.
