Taverna'n - Oslo

My friend and I traveled from the usa to Scandinavia, and I have to say that this was by far our favorite meal. we were brought there by our Norwegian friends who are domestic. the atmosphere was intimate and yet festive. there was an extensive wine card and a complete bar. the food was excellent. I ordered the baked healed, which was very fresh and was perfectly cooked with a small seaman to give it a crunchy crust. our party also ordered another traditional fish dish, a steak and a pizza. When they are in oslo, they come to dinner here and they will not be disappointed.

It is a nice discovery of our journey in Norway. We were 5, dinning at 7 pm. There were few people inside. We ordered 4 different dishes : grilled meat, pizza, chicken salad and stock fish. We didn't have to wait long and the order was perfectly correct. The two who ordered grilled meat were very happy with tender and juicy meat and sides. The pizza is baked in a wood oven by a very good pizzaiolo, and was tasty. The chicken salad was abundant and chicken soft and softly spiced. The stock fish was perfectly cooked and pea pure, potatoes tasted great. We took a walk after dinner and our remarks were that it was our best restaurant experience so far in Norway.

Beautiful restaurant and friendly staff. the menu is attractive and there is much to choose. I had the fish and chips: very good. small part. the prizes are a bit high, but it's Norwegian, I guess the worst in my life.

Pricy but nice eating, huge portion, their pizza are good and biff/fish and chips also not bad.

Large restaurant with Italian menu. friendly multilingual staff. eating and drinking in norway is expensive. Currently pizza is about 200 kr and design beer 110 kr (september 2022.
