The chicken skewers were very small, despite the waitress warning us about their size. The pieces of chicken were tiny for the price. The pizza is now made with hand-stretched dough instead of the pinsa that I used to love, but it was too thin and couldn't hold up the toppings. Everything kept sliding off. The smoked Gouda was sliced and maybe would have been better shredded, as the amount put on was overpowering. On the other hand, the mushroom flatbread was delicious, as was the wine. The flavors were good overall, but the execution was a bit lacking. We would consider going back if the menu gets a few tweaks. Thank you.
The restaurant offers multiple outdoor seating areas with beautiful views, where patrons can enjoy wine and food. Options include Adirondack chairs near the vines for a laid-back experience, a covered bar area, and a dining section under a large white tent. KIN provides a pleasant view of Carp ridge and attentive service. The wine is decent for the area, while the food is average and nothing outstanding (tacos were satisfactory and the pizza was on the pricier side and somewhat soggy). Overall ratings: Atmosphere: 4/5, Wine: 4/5, Food: 3/5. Despite this, we would still come back to savor a glass of wine while lounging on the patio overlooking the vineyards. The scenery is the real highlight in this case.
This restaurant offers top-notch service and high-quality wine. It is the best place in the city to unwind, socialize with friends, and enjoy some of the finest wines. The wine also makes for perfect gifts during the holiday season.
A great spot overall, just need a little more variety in the kitchen and to build up the site a bit more, as compared to many already developed wineries. Overall they're very much on the right path of growth. The sparkling wine is the best one they have as it is tough to really cultivate good wine until about the 8th year the vine has been in the ground and beyond. For a new winery this place is terrific and a must see. It will develop into a 5 star place, so to the owner do not take this four star review the wrong way. You are very much going in the right direction, and it is very cool to see a true winery developing here in Ottawa. You have a very exciting future ahead as your wines mature.
Not great, but good for local. Whites are better than the reds. Nice spot to spend an afternoon with friends. Good pizza and charcuterie.
