Salsas Cocina Oviedo

This is our favorite restaurant in Oviedo. We go here a few times a week. Consistently great food with a wide menu selection everything I have ever had here is fantastic. They have best margaritas, and unmatched service. Staff are all friendly and welcoming. Especially Daniel and Francisco, who are two of the best we’ve ever met anywhere and they treat us like family! Salsa’s is lucky to have them and they are a big reason why we keep coming back.

Love the food and atmosphere. Sometimes service slips, such as redoing the same place twice for not explaining properly to the cuisine what we wanted. It didn't happened once, but we keep going there because we like the food. BTW, these on the photos are steak chimichanga and chicken enchilada. The chimichanga was perfect, but my wife things that the enchilada was too spicy for her. Excellent rice and beans.

I was conflicted on writing a review for this place for a while. The food was so good, but the service was so slow. The last time we went, though, the service was quick and the food was hot. I’m not sure if they fixed the staffing issue or if I just went at a good time.The price is good for all the food you get, as well. My favorite thing to get here is standard Arroz con Pollo and it comes out as a full butterflied and grilled chicken breast with cheese sauce plus rice/beans. This time, I got the Pollo Santa Fe and this is what is shown in my photo. It is basically Arroz con Pollo topped with onions, peppers, spinach, and mushrooms. I’m not sure what method they use to grill their chicken, but it’s always juicy and flavorful never dry.Definitely my favorite Mexican spot in Oviedo.

We ate dinner here. (The only negative is probably not something the restaurant can control: the water. It smells and tastes bad. Still drinkable. Since I'm not a native Floridian, maybe I'm just not used to it. Anyway... The atmosphere on the patio was very animated and filled with positive energy. We had fun. The service was great and the beer was cold. The food was really good, too! I had the Molcajete. It was awesome!

Just found our new favorite Mexican restaurant! I grew up in Denver so had a plethora of local, authentic and quality Mexican restaurants. Not so much in Orlando. This was fantastic! I have always endured Mexican rice as a necessary evil, but this rice was light, flavorable and not overly salty. Was that a hint of clove in my black beans? Meat was marinated and grilled to savory perfection. Was it really loud? Yes. Next time we will sit outside. But my wife is a good cook and if I need quiet I will eat at home. When I go out, I want to be wowed by the food. I was wowed. Wish we could have met the Chef!
