"The process for ordering beers through the QR code was quite unusual. The beers themselves were decent, and the atmosphere resembled that of a dive bar. One of the staff members repeatedly stopped by to assist us with the QR code ordering, which felt unnecessary; it would have been much simpler for them to take our orders directly. Sometimes, technology isn't the best solution."
In three words, I can sum up our short experience here: Very Rude Staff. We stopped by for dinner on a Friday night, which we expected to be busy, so we were prepared for a wait. To pass the time, we decided to grab a beer at the bar while we waited. As we stood at the bar, one of the servers rudely told us to move. I explained that we were just trying to order a drink, but his response was dismissive—he said he didn’t care and just wanted us to get out of the way. It's disappointing to feel unwelcome when you’re trying to spend money at a restaurant. It would be nice if staff took the time to be kind to their customers instead of driving them away.
Disappointing... Disappointing best describes Pagosa Brewing. When it come down to it this review doesn 't have to do with the food. It 's the lack of service, lack of customer experience, and lack of customer care.Initially greeted by the host we are sat at the table and informed the menus on the QR code. (Nothing new and widely accepted). Didn 't think that you literally wouldn 't have any interaction with a server while here. Before viewing the menu you must place in your contact information. Upon scanning the menu on your phone you must place your order on your phone, never interacting with a server and prior to placing your order you must enter your card information. Water is self serve and even drinks are ordered through the app. Through the entire course of the meal the only interaction we had was when our food was delivered, here 's your French dip... , and when the..host..walked by while seating another table and asked how things were.Never once did a waiter/ waitress ask if they could get us anything, ask if we had questions about the menu, ask if we needed a refill, ask if everything came out correctly, ask how your day, was, nothing. Never, once.It 's sad to think that in an age of inflation and higher cost of living that it 's expected to tip 15-20% when there is no service, there 's no care, and there 's no appreciation. People come out to eat for the experience, the service. Not to wait on themselvesThe food was good, nothing extraordinary but good. But for $85.00 to literally do everything yourself you might as well stay home or go somewhere that cares about it 's customers. We ended the meal by pressing the pay now button on my phone and seeing ourselves out. No have a good day, no thanks for coming in. Just 4 staff members awkwardly walking around waiting for the next self serve order to come in.
The meat eater's pizza was excellent. Thin crusted and loaded with toppings. Ordered the supreme later in the evening, it was thin on toppings with thicker crist. Not sure if difference is consistent or purposeful.Staff was attentive and kind.I didn't care for home brews and they only carry Coors Light otherwise. My husband enjoyed the darker ales.Plenty of TVs for sports watching.
