Highly recommend seafood tomato soups and you have to try them if you are at Cenang. However, the staff seemed pretty busy and abruptly moved us to another smaller table. I wouldn’t think this is a rude gesture if the customer had been asked if they would be willing to move.
Small little local restaurant in the heart of Langkawi. Menu mainly comprises of Malaysian and Indonesian cuisine but they have other South East and East Asian food items also. The staff is also very nice and friendly. Do try the Nasi Goreng Ayam Kunyit (turmeric chicken fried rice). Most of the dishes are under RM10. Overall a nice and reasonable restautant.
Must visit!! Honest, tasty cheap local food. We had a fried squid, green veg, mango salad, single egg omelette, fried egg and two rice and the flavours were fantastic! Google sometimes says they're closed but better check in person as they might be open.
The ambience is a bit crowded but their service is really good. Tried their chicken friend rice and chicken noodles which turned out to be very tasty. They also serve it without fish and oyster sauce if asked for specifically. Totally worth the money.
Best Malay-style cooked seafood in Cenang, Langkawi. Had the steamed siakap (barramundi), the sweet sour siakap, the flour dipped fried squid and prawns, kangkong and kailan with ikan masin (salted fish bits), omelette, nasi goreng kampung and nasi goreng ikan masin. Amazing taste and flavour. The steamed fish was so soft and flavourful and the light gravy that came with it was rich in lemongrass, onions and spices. The sweet sour fish was perfectly fried and the sauce (asked to separate the sauce) was spicy and full of yumminess. The omelette was perfect with crispy edges. Both the flour dipped squid and prawns were awesome. The vegetables were crunchy and tasty. Also ordered the teh tarik to wash all the goodness down. The staff were polite and accommodating. Highly recommended for Malaysian food lovers.
