Back Country Coffee - PAONIA

Back country is a paonia favorite for locals. They continues to deliver great coffee, pastries, and service through covid, and has done a great job of keeping to safe practices for their patrons.

Great food, great drinks, great service. Fresh ingredients and very charming location. Tip well.

The food at this restaurant was decent, but the standout was the coffee, which was very good. They also offer alcoholic drinks such as wine. I only gave them 3 stars because of the location and parking situation. The restaurant is not easily accessible, especially if you are not familiar with the area, and finding parking can be a challenge.

Love Backcountry! The lattes are strong and delicious, the locally made mugs and tea are fantastic, and I always manage to find a pastry I need in the display case. Looking forward to a post-COVID time, when running into a friend or five at the cafe is a regular thing and we can gather again at the big table.

We enjoyed a couple breakfast sandwiches to-go as we headed out for a hike. They had a well thought out one-way flow through their building to cope with COVID and reduce foot traffic from backtracking next to other customers.
