Cafe Madeleine - Paris

Venue déjeuner avec deux collègues, j'ai été stupéfaite de devoir attendre 20mn pour avoir du pain ("ah vous voulez du pain comme dans les grandes maisons" dixit le serveur après deux sollicitations) Au moment de payer, part avec ma carte bancaire... Obligée de le rattraper. Le service est ici déplorable et désagréable.Et pour couronner le tout, nourriture franchement moyenne...

Par los que estamos acostumbrados a tomar algo ,desde luego que Paris no es la mejor opción ,o si si llevas una cartera con varias VISAS o un fajo de billetes a rebosar.Al grano.... Unas cervezas de medio litro 13 euracos y unas de 25 cl pues lo que viene siendo la mitad de la otra 6,50 ,osea el precio de un cubata vegetal a 14,50 y madaleine burger a 18 euracos ,desde luego que Paris no esta fabricado para mi bolsillo ,sigo pensando en ir a bucarest a 1 eurito la cerveza :-)

De manier waarop wij behandeld werden door een " ober" genaamd Alex is te gek voor woorden. Wij waren betalende klanten en van klantvriendelijkheid heeft men daar waarschijnlijk geen kaas gegeten. Het allerergste was dat ons verweten werd dat wij geen aardige klanten waren. Het eten was absoluut niet lekker maar daar konden we ons overheen zetten als er een beetje begrip zou zijn geweest.

Let me start of by saying that I've worked in hospitality for more than 10 years but this was probably the worst service I have ever experienced anywhere before.First of all the food was awful, which we were willing to accept (it's a typical tourist place so you arrive with low expectations). However the service by waiter ALEX (bearded guy with hair in a bun) has made this experience absolutely horrendous. When we finished our meal he did not ask if we had enjoyed our food, so we pointed out ourselves that it wasn't very good. He did not bother to reply at all and walked away to present us with the check. After putting the check on the table he took it back and ripped off the corner of the receipt. When we checked with our neighbors we realized his name was written on the corner and didn't want us to see it! When he came to collect our payment I asked him why he did that, he proceeded to tell us that he 'felt like it', and that we weren't very nice customers to serve. The fact that he had the nerve to speak to his guests like this made me sick, I couldn't possibly recommend this place to anyone, I'd rather say: DON'T EVER GO HERE!

Pros - good frites - salmon sandwich - salad with foie gras Neutral Cons - roast chicken was dry, bit bland and small portion - waiter was grumpy but complied with refilling our water
