La Condesa is a small, intimate restaurant, with the true feeling of eating in someone at home. “Like Dining in someone’s home” is an overhauled term, but it really applies to La Condesa because the entire staff, including the owner/cook, serve, greeting, illuminating and charm of their guests. La Condesa is like a dinner party at home of a big cook. This cooking of this great chef is announced in every creative dish, using techniques and spices that represent both his Mexican birthplace and his adopted French home. His creations glitter on the plate. I cannot remember a cook that uses the color green in so many preparations. Herbaceous sauces, adding a deep, almost primordial look, add a taste profile unique in this kitchen. Of course we chose the six course set menu instead of the four, the only options offered. The absence of a la carte allows the cook to draw attention to any dish. The four of us could not decide a favorite, with the duck and the salmon get the most votes. The menu often changes, but the creative and tasty cooking remains constant. With a wonderful bottle of convenience, a cocktail and two glasses of champagne, our bill for four averaged by $110.00 per person, a bargain for this superlative restaurant. La Condesa would be a "steel" with a less expensive bottle of wine. I will return to La Condesa every time I am in Paris. It was a wonderful evening that looked out; a special evening that can only create Paris. La Condesa complements the shower of this city of light. Merci beaucoup.
A menu that is fresh, creative, young and full of promises. The Mexican-born boss Indra has gone beyond French kitchen clips to create new flavors. Think of a seascape with new textures. It is worth tasting his surprise card
The Condesa opened a year ago, all in promises and in fierce framework. She has now acquired her letters of nobility, in a neighborhood where emulation is fruitful. A bold kitchen served with as much elegance as kindness, in the smallest details and with all the attention of his young chef, present at the piano as in the room. A remarkable lunch from the mouth to dessert, irrigated with Mediterranean wines (Gard and Hérault) to the diapason.
As James Brown said: So good!!! Already 3 meals in this restaurant. I'll take the quote from a friend who was eating by my side: at every bite I feel like I'm going to slow down so much, which makes me wonder if it's now that I'm slow, or the rest of my life where I'm going too fast...
A very creative young chef. An irreproachable service. The tasting menu is a treat. We had a great evening!!
