Yesterday, it was my second visit with my friend and we had a very nice dinner with a waiter who worked at the bar in the basement. He was really nice, welcoming by never forgetting the mouse throughout the dinner. When choosing Malbec wine, his explanations were also very explicit, finally helping us to take a good wine. I have a little regret not to thank her much more with a reward as a tip. I thank you again at least there.
A simple concept but based on exceptional meat quality. The setting and atmosphere are bluffing for a Parisian restaurant. To recommend closed eyes
I literally fell into Chez Robert et Louise for lunch after wandering around the Marais for hours. I know France loves their boeuf (and so do I), so we picked Robert et Louise for lunch. My first impression: wood-fired oven and packed tables. We were seated down stairs in the dungeon, which felt very cozy (and old!). My sister and split the Rib Eye, which came with seasoned potatoes and a salad on a wood cutting board. The steak was fantastic--one of the best I had in Paris. It was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I would definitely return here for another meal. They spoke English and were able to answer our questions about the food, which was a plus as an American.
Went a six-some after trying to book, but only got message bank. Anyhow, we rocked up, and after some friendly discussion, we scored a table in the 'dungeon'. On our way through, we discovered why it's called 'restaurant de feu' a damn great open fire grilling some serious pieces of meat, and the aromas! We knew we were in for a memorable night. The table chose between beef and lamb, although one had kidneys. The meats were served delightfully hot, with a selection of seasonal vegetables. The wine list was good, and typically for a French restaurant, the service was professional and impeccable. The only tip I have for English speaking people visiting Paris, try, try and try again to speak a few words of French, it will improve your experience out of sight. Would I viist here again? In a Heartbeat!
My husband and I chose Robert et Louise for our last outing in Paris. It was filled with what appeared to be tourists. We got a table after calling for a reservation and waiting until they opened the doors at around 7pm. We were quickly seated. My husband ordered the entrecôte (ribeye) special. I had one of the specials of the day. I believe my dish was some type of flank or skirt steak with onions and wine sauce. My meal was very tasty and serve with roasted potatoes and a small green salad. I would recommend the restaurant as the ambiance is wonderful watching the food being cooked over the open flame.
