Le Cafe du Theatre

They think that we have tried the French arrogance here, female servants spoke well English, but only when they were adapting them. cook was very helpful to choose the dishes, but unfortunately they were very easy.

We ate here at our first night in paris, as it was a few doors away from our hotel. we rolled into the place (which is small). with about 20 .at about 10 o'clock and were warmly welcomed by a man who we found out later...Antoine, the owner. proudly portuguese, he patiently took us through the menu, recommended a wein for us (Portuguese natural! and served us a generous platelet of good, tasty food. followed the delicious desserts and several photos of ricard and good atmosphere. a little jewel of a place I would like to return to me in the future. obrigado, antoine!

Very very friendly and charming staff, simple but delicious food I like! The fish I had could have been a bit less chewy but the sauce that came with it and the potatoes were fantastic. As well as the recommended red wine.

If you are in the area, fancy a half decent bottle of something that isn't french but aren't remotely hungry then you should consider calling in. The Portuguese guy who runs the place was very friendly, it's a little place and he sets the vibe...so it's just as well he is very pleasant. Wine from Portugal is available and I had a couple of bottles of something red at 24 euro each. I didn't eat here though but I did see the sort of food they were serving to some other visitors. It did not look good. Not at all. Grey, greasy and plain. Don't make a special visit to this place and if you find yourself here don't eat in. It is though fine for a drink and a game of cards.

Oh my god dont go there because you are going to vomit all that you have eat and last time i have been there i had to bargain with the bartender to have the permission to go to the bathroom
