Small restaurant in the rue mouffetard, typical French dish we eat very well! Duck thigh with top and homemade calf blanquette. welcoming staff, thank you to nadine for this little moment.
We were staying at a hotel near Rue Mouffetard and after sitting in a plane for 11 hours we just wanted a quick bit. We walked past this restaurant and it seemed low key so we took a chance. We were in Paris for 4 nights with a plan of meeting our daughter who lives in Germany. The service was fantastic and Nadine made us feel so welcome. We started with onion soup and it was the best I've ever had. George shared his secret on how to make a creamy broth. I had steak and my wife had blanquette de Veau and both of us were delighted. For dessert I had homemade coffee ice cream and my wife had the apple tart. Great way to end the meal. We were jet lagged and really wanted a quick meal. We ended up spending almost 2 hours eating and enjoying our conversation with Nadine and George. The best and the least expensive meal we had in Paris and we will be back.
On a journey to betting for our 10 years of marriage, we had the happiness of pushing, a little by chance on the first night, the door of nadine and georges. In the end, 2 unforgettable evenings as our 2 guests were charming and thoughtful about us. always nadine in small care and very good advice; exceptional georges of kindness and perfect behind his furnaces. the menus are of a very good value for money: magret, piccata, Argentinian intercoast and lamb tested and approved by our combined stomachs. fresh products, home cooking. In the beautiful district of the rue mouffetard this little restaurant is not unpleasant but we could wait for a better kitchen. a bath with the shallots too cooked (although the demand for stirring cooking) and where the taste of the shallots is barely found. The sauce is too peppery. a vanilla ice cream first price. But the extremely sympathetic bosses make us pass the pill. There must be better in the neighborhood.
