A family business to support. Amatrices, lovers of authentic pastries and chocolates, here is a real craftsman. Their chocolates and pralines are developed in Pinaud Pascal's own laboratory. Pure wonders that have nothing to envy the most prestigious of the Parisian press. Macarons equal to the iconic Ladurée, Pierre Hermé et al. A chocolate (manufacturer) under side unfortunately. I am taking a star for the service that is not (for my part) up to the lady’s share having served me... a shame I would have loved more proximity and explanations about the products. About €28 for the box.

The best bet of chocolate nuns. There are also croissants with chocolate almonds too good too.

Pinaud was right across the street from our hotel, Best western quartier latin. they had a formule where you could get a baguette sandwich, a drink, and then either an éclair or a pastry. The pastry option was a little more than elcair. I think...9 euros vs 7. The pastries were excellent, as was the sandwich. It is less than 5 minute walk from there to les jardin des plantes, which is a large beautiful park with lots of benches, flowers, and people watching. They also had excellent bread.

Superb pastries. You can see the staff working in the back as they make everything fresh during the day. Standouts are the Tartlette Orange Praliné, Tartlette Citron, Tarte à deux citrons, and Café Noisette. This pastry shop is worth seeking out. Some places don't want...to leave well enough alone; they add extra features that detract from the whole. But this shop knows when it has reached perfection and stops right there. Superb ingredients that are masterfully combined to create a little taste bomb. Nothing is too sweet. Sweetness is used just to bring out the flavors to a peak.
