Elephant Lounge - Parkgate

After enjoying some coastal hikes, we were looking for a place to relax with tea and cake. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff and tables set up with a lovely view of the bay. There was also a charming outdoor courtyard in the back for those who prefer to sit outside. The prices were very reasonable, and I would definitely consider returning if I'm in the area again.

This is a large coffee shop located in Parkgate, overlooking the swamps and across North Wales. It is open from 9 AM to 11 PM, serving breakfast, bagels, pizza, beer, and coffee. I spent five hours there with a bagel and a few coffees while chatting with a friend, and the place never felt crowded or rushed to clear our table for others. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is friendly. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options available, along with restrooms.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! I find it hard to believe that it has received negative reviews; I guess some people just enjoy complaining. Sure, it can get busy, but just look at the circumstances! It's truly a dream spot! It's the best place to relax, whether in summer or winter. They've done a fantastic job with the interior decor, creating a cozy atmosphere that’s perfect for escaping the occasional strong winds from Parkgate, especially while they’re still working on improving their coffee. The coffee is perfect every time, the food is great, and the staff is always friendly. Plus, you get a nice view of the shop opening!

This is a good place for coffee. happy enough to be able to sit outside, with views of the swamps and dee estuary. it is a very popular place. excellent choice of drinks and dine. it's busy, but it's worth waiting.

My first visit here. What a fab place. A nice touch was the hooks outside to lock your bike safely to. Good menu, great coffee and the staff were fabulous. Thank you, will definitely be back
