He disappeared out back and came back with vegan burgers and dahl for us. Was super impressed especially as I couldn’t find those options on the menu anywhere.
Based on previous reviews, I was excited to try this place, and was staying nearby at the Belmont hotel. Sadly there were only two labeled vegan options as opposed to the 11 I saw in some reviews. One was a Bourgogne and one was a fried ‘chicken’ sandwich. Prices are expensive so I went with nachos without cheese and a minestrone soup. Told the waitress several times that I was vegan, and the soup arrived with cheese on it, and the nachos had some awful mayonnaise sauce all over it. Since I hadn’t eaten all day I ate it and regretted it after. My non vegan friends all got the nachos too and we were all very disappointed. Learned our lesson about ordering nachos in the Philippines! And we waited an hour for our food we only ordered nachos and soup, none of which should have taken that long! Overall a very disappointing experience.
There was a good selection of both vegetarian and vegan meals to choose from. They were very accommodating in adapting the vegetarian ‘chicken’ burger into a vegan version by removing the dressing. Everything was well presented and very good quality and the premises were spotless.
Thank you Sheraton for a full-on vegan menu with dishes ranging from palabok and pancit bihon, to sisig and bicol express, to spaghetti w 'meat ' sauce, 'beef 'rendang, and garlic 'shrimp '.
They have an 11-item Plant Based Vegan menu to my pleasant surprise. See photos. I stayed here with family for a staycation from makati the other day. Note that their Buffets also have plenty of Vegan options, fresh fruits, breads, stir fries and their on staff executive chef's Karl and Chef Reywil are eager to please Vegans ..so challenge them to make you a Tofu Scramble or something more complicated if you're dining here :
