Diner on 16th - Pasig

Diner on 16th is one of those places that gained popularity due to their infamous chicken waffle. I have never heard of them before nor their chicken waffles hence i kept an open mind during my visit. And besides I haven't eaten a lot of chicken waffles in my lifetime Wait...Fireside's version is different right? No...okay. Scratch that off, I've had chicken multiple times, waffles not so much. But I've never had chicken and waffles at the same time. The place is of moderate size. No fancy furniture. Typical diner set-up. And it reminds me of place where kids would go after school. Waffle Florentine (Php 350). 3 pieces buttermilk fries chicken, classic waffles, poached eggs, spinach, bacon & hollandaise sauce. Okay, i was surprised to see "buttermilk" on the menu because the chicken doesn't taste like the ones I've had in Fireside. Think of it as regular fried chicken sans seasoning. The waffles is mediocre (I've had better). Saving grace of the dish is the bacon (buti na lang may bacon kundi olats na ????) and the poached eggs. Ze eggs were cooked perfectly. I wasnt wowed with Diner. Will i go back? Nope. The travel is not worth it.

I had the single worst burger I've had in my entire life here. The meat tasted expired, lacked seasoning to mask that, and had fake cheddar cheese on it. If you're going to claim you serve "American" comfort food then you better use fresh tasting (not disgusting tasting) beef, and REAL cheddar cheese, not some flavorous cheese sauce which is what was put over my burger! ???? I could have bought 4 or more yum cheese burgers from Jolibee and would have been more satisfied with that purchase than I was with tgis place's nasty meat burger. I'm so mad I paid for two of these, and it didn't come with fries or potato chips because they were out of stock. They gave me iced tea on the house to make up foe no fries, but their iced tea is too sweet so I chose not to drink it. They served the reciept to me in a tiny red trash can, and i think that red trash can should be their new logo behind the words "Diner on 16th". This place should remove all the burgers from their menu since they do not make them well at all! I can't comment on their waffles or chicken but if it's anything like their burgers or iced tea then it sucks.

Place - ???? lack parking slots and the place is medyo looban pa pero okay lang din naman. Ambiance - ???? clean and neat. Food - ???? delicious, right size and great presentation. My only problem is mostly unavailable anf foods! Management pls wag nyo na lagay sa menu kung unavalable naman, parang 50% sa menu not available. Price ???? not affordable, not too pricey too. Sakto lang. Service ???? tagal i serve ng food and yung appetizer 3x ko pa need i follow up, mas nauna pa i serve yung dessert sa appetizer. My rates from lowest to highest ????????????????????????
