Wow, wow and wow. A perfect stop over in one of the most idilic holidays town on the west coast. The staff was friendly, the room up to standard and the location perfect. The sauna and heated splash pools where an added bonus. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend Abalone to anyone. We stayed at the Abalone Hotel end of April 2023. They sent us an email the day before arrival to notify us that they have upgraded us to a Villa. We thought how nice of them but upon arrival the Villa is about 800m from the hotel so you have to drive for breakfast and to use the hotel facilities which is an incredible inconvenience. The Villa looks good but is better suited for a family. It does have a garage for your vehicle, but is very snug and will only fit a small car. The villa has a pool, however it was not filled up, the cleaner said it was being fixed. The next morning the pool was filled and overflowing. We did have lunch at the beautiful set up restaurant of the hotel. The crayfish was delicious. We also ordered Sushi which was not tasty. I asked for less rice in my sushi but got extra rice instead. It was the hugest rolled out Maki I have ever seen in my life. We were told by the receptionist upon arrival that breakfast was not included in our booking and we had to pay from Ala Carte but upon check out we were told it was included. The showers and taps at the villa bathrooms had no water pressure so we could not have a proper shower and therefore opted to check out early as they could not give us a room we paid for and couldn't down grade us from what we paid for. They did however refund us but they were not sympathetic at all. It was very disappointing considering we had to fly from Dbn to Cape town then drive 2.5hrs to get there. It seems they are more accommodating to foreigners. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 4

Where to start... The hospitality, we were met with a warm welcome by the GM and staff. The food was absolutely amazing. The room and amenities a big thumbs up. The staff was friendly and helpful. A 2min walk away from the beach. Abalone Hotel, you will definitely see us again.. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
