Islander Food Shack - Pensacola

I’ve lived in the Gulf region for four years, and I can honestly say this is the first restaurant that truly impressed me with its food. I tried the Jamaican meat pie, a bowl of gumbo, and a sangria. The meat pie is undoubtedly one of the best dishes I've ever tasted; the crust was flaky and buttery, and the filling was bursting with flavor. The accompanying curry dip was also delicious and complemented the pie perfectly. Trust me, just go for the six-piece option because you'll want more. The gumbo was excellent too, with tender meat and well-balanced flavors. The service was quick and efficient. Plus, it's conveniently located just across from Perdido Beach, allowing you to enjoy the lovely salty ocean breeze without the crowds. I would absolutely go out of my way to dine here again!

Ate here for the first time while on vacation it was right across from my condo . It’s a mediocre place for seafood the shrimp basket was ok but the oyster poboy had only 5 small oysters on it and only a hand full of fries the coleslaw tasted spoiled it’s overpriced for what you get.but the service was good just need to work on the food. Our server, Lisa, was very nice and accommodating. The burgers were excellent. Hand-made, real cheese. Atmosphere is very casual. Would eat here again.
