Luckily, our friends live just round the corner, so it was a gentle (uphill) stroll. The restaurant is split into a pub/bar part and the restaurant proper. The restaurant lives up to Switzerland's reputation for high prices, but you can get a meal in the bar for less. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The restaurant was pretty full as it was Friday night, so service was quite slow, but the two ladies running it did apologise in advance. As it was autumn they had their special La Chasse menu on. Had we known, we'd have given the requisite two days' notice for the saddle of venison, but as we didn't we had the slightly cheaper medallions. At 65 Sw Fr that menu wasn't cheap, but it was good. Venison and all the traditional trimmings including brussels sprouts proving that these are eaten outside the UK. All in all a very good evening, with good food and when they had the time, really friendly staff.
On y retournera!
