It is secluded, making it easy to have conversations with your dinner companions in a lovely setting. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wine and the food, as I typically do not enjoy hotel restaurant fare. My favorite dish of the night was the scallops, potato carbonara, and crispy pancetta, which I found to be delicious and perfect for sharing. For mains, we enjoyed the Harvey Bay scotch fillet, perfectly cooked goat's cheese ravioli, and tender twice-cooked duck with Sunkist, creating an interesting flavor combination. Overall, I thought the food was good and I would definitely return for the scallops.
Stayed at Mercure hotel for few nights. Had the buffet breakfasts for 2. I'm very impressed with this joint. The cost worked out to about $12 each per buffet breakfast!<br/ Incredible value!!!!!<br/ I have No Wheat, No meat, No dairy. And the options are awesome, my wife had bacon, eggs and all sorts. Coffee is fantastic.<br/ Highly recommend.<br/ Service is second to none. They'll cook custom omelettes if you ask and bend over backwards for patrons. Incredibly friendly and genuine. Not scared to converse at length. <br/ Very clean and organised even when very busy. <br/ Loved it.Bravo<br/ <br/
I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant on Friday night with two of our close friends. The service was quick and friendly, and not at all intrusive. The food was amazing - the scallops were cooked perfectly, the meat was delicious and accompanied with tasty sides, and the banana crepe dessert elevated the whole culinary experience. The portions were generous, which was a welcome change from other restaurants where you leave hungry and broke. I would definitely come back and recommend this excellent restaurant to others.
Such a lovely atmosphere with attentive staff and delicious food. Food was tasty and of good quality. Although a bit pricey, they make it up by the serving size. What a hidden gem!
The buffet breakfast is decent, except the poached eggs weren't really poached (yolks were hard). However food was replenished and plentiful. I enjoyed the breakfast overall. They had the usual, pancakes, hash browns, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, fried rice, scrambled eggs, and a surprising selection of pastries. Croissants were nice. <br/ <br/ Have also been here for dinner, and service was great however a little too attentive (too many different waiters asking how our meal was) however the food was delicious and this place definitely deserves a higher rating!! Will be back!
