Aikuma Sushii - Perth

I recently had a lovely dinner at this restaurant using a Groupon. The torched salmon roll was absolutely delicious and stood out as a favorite. The soul tang salad was also very good. The udon dish was beautifully presented, but the broth was a bit too salty for my taste, although my friends enjoyed it. We all agreed that the yakitori was a bit dry. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Overall, I plan to return to try more of the sushi rolls in the future.

We enjoy trying new foods, but today's experience was the worst $20 we have ever spent. We might have understood if there was a wait due to a crowded restaurant, but there were only four of us and we had to wait almost 30 minutes just to be served (and the food wasn't even good). The table service was also slow and when we ordered takeout, the restaurant got our order wrong. Overall, a disappointing dining experience.

I visited this restaurant today and placed my order. I patiently waited for 30 minutes, but my food still hadn't arrived. Even though others who ordered after me already had their food. I spoke to the waitress and gave them 10 more minutes, but the next order to come out was for someone who arrived 10 minutes after me. This was unacceptable. I requested a refund and left the restaurant.

Not sure how long aikuma was there, but I can see why the restaurant didn't really make a name for itself. prices were quite reasonable when looking at the location, but there was nothing special about eating. sashimi was fresh and well represented, but that was the point. tuna tataki was dry, a tad granular, and the soft bowl crawling roller was a let down obwohl. Although the crab itself was not bad, the addition of salat made the roll loose and hollow. Excellent Japanese restaurant in perth CBD. Their food s tasty and the price s reasonable. Lunch special costs a tiny budget and could definitely satisfy the staff who works around. Waitresses are nice with their consistently high standard service.
