Hippo - Pessac

Ordered a 350 g piece of meat, the weight was stated to be 350g (most expensive on the menue) most likely it was less than 200g. Should have been matured for 21 days, was very tough.

As it was our first night and we arrived late a local quick meal was in order. A simple burger and grilled chicken with fries, a glass of beer and small glass of (local) red wine set us back £55+ I wouldn't mind but it wasn't a gourmet burger nor was the wine a grand cru classé, so how they justify their prices is beyond me for average, small portioned meals. Would not recommend or return

The meat we had was terrible. We showed the manager and told him the meat was very bad. Sorry he said but no refund we had to pay for 2 faux filet the full € 49,80. Just a shame!

This restaurant is a chain.so know what you can expect too many people for too many waiters. Standard drinks. Standard food. But still the food was better than expected. They have nice Bordeaux wines on the menu giving it a better rating than expected

I have never in my life eaten in such a bad place and I did it twice. First day half of my food didn’t show up and when they found it 20 min after the rest of my food was cold. Day 2 I think I will go for the easy stuff, chicken and mashed potato what can go wrong, all I can tell you. Is was cold and after they took it back to the kitchen and back to my table it went from a pretty normal chicken “cold, but normal” to something I could not recognize “See picture” it says it all if they a willing to serve food like that. Safe your money and go to Burger King next door.
