Joes Steak Shop - Phillipsburg

Joe's Steak Shop is a charming little restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The indoor seating is quite limited, making it challenging for larger groups, such as a family of seven, to dine in. However, Phillipsburg offers many beautiful waterfront spots where you can enjoy your meal. We didn't mind finding a place to have a quick bite to eat.

Absolutely a hometown favorite! If you haven't tried Joe's famous cheesesteak yet, my dear, be sure to order it with extra sauce. Tuesday nights are a great time with the car shows—we love it!

This is a cool place to get food. The old school jersey sandwich shop has the feeling. The people who work there were great. The cheese steak and the pommes were great! We'll be back.

I visited this place a few weeks ago, it was my first desire for a bad stomach virus. I wasn't disappointed. Service was fast and the food was delicious. Portions are also generous! I like her outdoor dining area, it was quiet when we left.

I have been a long consumer of the Joe’s steak shop business. I often have a great dining experience, with the food being good but pricey. Lately I’ve been disappointed in the quality of a few items, namely the mozzarella sticks. These are expensive, but usually worth the price as they’re one of the best mozzarella sticks I’ve had from a restaurant. The last two times I’ve ordered them, though, I have seen nothing but disappointment in the eyes of my family as they witness the sad shell of these mozzarella sticks. They were no longer plump and full of fresh cheese, rather thin and nearly blown up. I hope this is a temporary change, as I don’t want to no longer be a customer of this establishment.
