We had a wonderful time to visit willowgate bistro to the birthday of my friend. we had arrived a little late, but after a quick phone call the team was more than happy to accommodate us a little later than booked. I was thrilled to see that she bought a beautiful birthday balloon and positioned it next to our quiet table in the corner of the restaurant. what a nice touch! the food was fabulous we had duck and steak followed by lemon cheesecake and chocolate tar, all cooked and beautifully presented. the wee and the cocktails were excellent and the staff could not have done for us anymore. we had a fabulous meal in the willowgate bistro and have already booked to return this weekend as the last meal of our holiday. very recommended, thanks to many!

Absolutely amazing team, simply made our day! we had a very stressful afternoon and these young completely postponed it in the run of an evening meal with their smiles, banter and tasty eating. large menu, including a whole page with gluten-free and vegetarian options. the seabassfilet was our winner, followed by the cheese plate for desserts. Thanks again!

A true gem with a fantastic menu and excellent options! We found it while on vacation in Essex and plan to return to Pickering just to visit this restaurant again. We highly recommend it to everyone!

I visited this restaurant after seeing some online reviews, but I found that they were a bit outdated. I want to share that the food remains fantastic, the staff is friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable. I started with duck, enjoyed chicken supreme as my main course, and finished with a delightful chocolate fondant, which was definitely worth the extra wait. My husband had the pork belly, steak, and crème brûlée. It was one of the best dining experiences we've had in years. The little extras, like the homemade fudge with the Irish coffee, homemade chocolates with the bill, and fresh bread with tapenade while we waited for our meals to be prepared, truly made it special. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back!
