While I felt my portion was sufficient, he ended up still feeling a little hungry afterward. Nevertheless, my curry was delicious! It was very spicy, so definitely not for those who can’t handle the heat. The coconut rice was perfectly prepared and delightfully sticky. The dish was beautifully presented as well. Overall, I highly recommend trying this restaurant, but once was probably enough for me.
The menu has a few items which can be made vegan, most notably their curry and Creole dishes. You pair them with vegetables and choice of rice and beans or coconut rice. Dawn, Jolene, Julia, and the rest of the staff there are wonderful, friendly, and easily accommodate vegans. Highly recommended for some authentic Caribbean flavours.
I had a great meal, featuring a delicious curry with coconut rice, accompanied by beans and rice. However, I would love to see more protein options on the menu, as the current vegan choices mainly consist of vegetables. The cozy atmosphere really added to the experience, and I also appreciated the friendly cats they have around. This update is from my previous review dated November 27, 2021.
The coconut crumb dessert was absolutely heavenly! I enjoyed it so much that I also ordered the rice and the dumplings, and I just mixed everything together and savored it all! Delicious! Also, Dawn is an absolute sweetheart!
In the menu of dinner there are two vegan options, coconut curry and cream vegetables. the mild curry was not really mild and so is the creole. the sweet is fresh, but overall the dishes were just ok.
