The atmosphere was nice, but the service and food left much to be desired. I went there with my wife and we ordered two sushi rolls that were quite mediocre. I also ordered a cocktail, which I told the waiter, Juan, was tasteless, but he completely ignored my comment. We then ordered two more rolls, making sure to specify that they should NOT be spicy, yet to our surprise, they were extremely spicy! When I brought this to the waiter’s attention, instead of understanding, he sarcastically asked, "Seriously? That doesn't sting." We even invited him to try it for himself, but he claimed that he no longer sensed any spice. I ended up paying the entire bill without raising any complaints just to avoid conflict, and we decided to go dancing instead. In hindsight, it would have been better to have just had some beers and danced rather than having dinner there.

I am vegan and they did a good job accommodating my special vegan requests. I enjoyed my glass bottles of spring water. The drinks were good and the food was ok. Not a place I would go back to but, I am thankful for the experience.

The lounge tends to be a bit too dark for my liking at night, but I’m really fond of the dining seating. I recently celebrated my birthday there, and unfortunately, the waiter spoke to us in a condescending manner. Despite that experience, I still highly recommend Kai for special occasions!
