They are cooking flavor, but the portions are small and they use frozen meetings and other products. You don't have your own bakery, so the bread is rigid. But the place is beautiful and the staff is friendly. You have very nice menu in English and very detailed. You also have a lot of large tables and the place is beautiful for large families / companies.
Beautiful place decorated with traditional Romanian objects. Music: Traditional Romanian Torclore. Long waiting time: 25-30 minutes for a Ciorbă (sour soup). Lamb meat in soup was hard to eat, superficial cooked. The waiter brought us another way if soup from the one I ordered. He didn't pay attention to us as he took our order. Lemonade and or tea had too much sugar in it. If you order these drinks and you are sensitive to sugar, yiu can want to order it unsweetened. Polandta was raw (not cooked) at all. They just poured boiling water over it. They brought us păstrăv (trout) instead of coast (Ribs), which resembles something in the Romanesque sound. They could have double checked the order before they left the table. Overall, I do not recommend the place at all.
When you arrive at your table, the waiter will ask you if you are planning to order a full meal with drinks and everything, making you aware that you will not be allowed to stay if you order less. That is a very strange and disturbing attitude, that makes this place a one to be avoided!
For a restaurant with a reputation and history in the romania market , the experienced faced today will surely make me avoid being their client in the future. As any romanian returning home , I always crave the romanian desert we call “papanasi” I walked in the restaurant where 4 tables were still available … approximately 25% of the capacity of the venue . As the order was not a full meal I was refused to be served as I was not ordering food. Well, I consider “papanasi” food to… they don’t . Being a romania I do understand the old generation waiters approach where they “own the floor” … and not in a good way . Being a hospitality professional I find shameful for this kind of poor customer service to still be tolerated in restaurants in places like Poiana Brasov. A small advice for the management, as long as you don’t stand for the right service and you don’t just simply fire the employees who behave this way nothing will change. And we will never be able to deliver what many other touristic destinations do offer … GOOD SERVICE . I used to visit your restaurant every year with my family and friends …I won’t do that in the future .. Capra Neagra served “papanasi” with a very welcoming approach. Highly recommend it… #capraneagra #poianabrasov #suradacilor #brasov #romania
We stopped in here after taking a short walk through the woods. It's a beautiful setting that lends itself to enjoying the great outdoors! The restaurant itself is very rustic with all sorts of local decorations. The food was traditional Romanian and was done to perfection!. The appetizers were so good that we filled up on them and almost had no room for the main courses, but we managed! Service was very good. Prices are competitive. We will return on our next trip to this area.
