We all had their cash 1/2 meals including Coleslaw and Pommes. Really good food. Pretty expensive, but good amount of fish. You have a covered and open dinner right on the side of the river. Free parking and toilets. Would go again if we got the chance!
I have often been to Purdy's Dockside Eatery, but I haven't been there since 2019 because of the COVID Pandemic. My wife and I finally had the chance to go to Purdy's Dockside Eatery today and were very excited about her today... as it was a beautiful day and it was a small trip for us from Windsor. We noticed that prices rose, but we know that almost everything has and nothing against paying for large foods, but we were disappointed earlier this time. We love Perch and this is one of the things that bring us there and we love to sit and watch the Blue Water Bridge, the boats go by and look at the river and Lake Huron with ships and many types of boats, of which is a great day trip. Back to the Perch dinner was the perch over boiled and not up to its standard as we had before and we noticed that now they give you a small cup of tatar sauce where, before you have preferred as much as you with your fish, and we would like more, but would pay extra for something they offered before without additional costs. We love Perch and just ordered a record of Perch everyone, because this is really what we want to eat, as I can get Coleslaw or French Pommes at any time, but not big perch. During this visit we were disappointed, but will try again and hopefully get it properly cooked and for this reason I gave it 2 out of 5 this time, they can do better or the next trip to Purdy's Dockside Eatery will be the last trip there.
We're here a few years ago in summer and had the white fish dinner. It was delicious. Today we had the pimple. What a waste of $46 $23 per). The pimple was not completely boiled, it was swimming in fat and was mostly broken. The Koleslawin had no taste. Not sure what happened, but we won't visit again. Very disappointing.
Whenever we are in Sarnia, we always try to come to Purdy to see if they are open to try to get some of their delicious smoked salmon. When we went there for the first time, the Nabeby ate almost a whole fillet in the car. He...absolutely LOVED it (he is not much of a fish eater, so that is something to say for him). I bought some white fish on the recommendation from an employee, but not yet made. I always like to see what new articles they could sell on their shelves directly in the door. Staff are always so helpful and friendly, and prices are very reasonable.
Friendly helpful service. Good food. Nice atmosphere by the St.Clair river. Reasonable prices. We enjoy going every season for fish. Open until 8pm.
