Contribuisci feedbackWhile the building is a little older, it is obvious the pride the owner has for his hotel (or I'm guessing the guy who was there ALL THE TIME is the owner). He was always around to answer my questions about the area and asked if I needed anything when I returned to the hotel after being out. It seems like they run with a lean crew, but I was never lacking for anything. When we checked in, we waited about a minute for someone to appear. The guy working the desk (again, I assume the owner) was outside picking up trash in the parking lot. I appreciate little things like that. If you care enough to keep the parking lot free of debris, you are probably pretty concerned with the inside too. I'm a picky coffee drinker and almost never like free hotel coffee. It is usually really bitter. Not the case here. They must get better coffee than other places. It was smooth and tasted good! My other typical gripe about hotels are the beds. The bed in our room was wonderful! One of the best hotel beds I've ever slept on and I'm typically staying at Hilton chains. I'm completely sold to stay here next time we are in the area!
Filthy mold in the showers and on the ceilings filthy carpet linoleum in the bathroom, isn't caulked by the tub and there's mold smells funny, disgustingly dirty no elevator to get upstairs had to carry luggage host extremely rude .
This seems to currently be one of the nicer hotels in Sandpoint. However, the hotel is very outdated, the carpets look dirty, the water temperature is highly variable, air conditioner is extremely loud, the ice machine didn't work, and the room phone rang at random times during the night and early morning. The hotel manager was friendly.
Do NOT stay here. I booked through Expedia and didn 't see many negative reviews. This was one of the worst hotels I 've ever seen. The back door does not lock. It 's left unlocked for anyone to enter the building unknowingly. I asked the front desk about it and was told that she thinks someone can lock it overnight if I wanted, but she wasn 't sure. Wtf!? The room was freezing, dirty and stunk SO bad! I wish I took pictures, but my family and I immediately grabbed our bags and loaded the car back up. It was disgusting. We went to the front desk and asked for a refund because we were not staying the night. It was gross and we didn 't feel safe. She agreed that the room was dirty and stunk. Her response when we told her was, I know . She guaranteed a refund, but said that she would have to wait for a manager to approve it. She kept saying that she would make sure we got a refund. I asked for a printed receipt saying that I would be getting a full refund with her signature and date. She seemed annoyed at my request, but I 'm glad I asked for it!! We went down the street to another hotel (that was only $20 more for the night) and were so pleasantly surprised. I had to follow up with Wyndham for the next several days asking for my refund. The manager was extremely rude. Refused to call me back or talk to me. He claimed that his front desk worker did not show up for work. I ended up contacting my credit card company and explaining everything that happened. They gave me a full refund because I had the signed receipt! The experience was awful. Do not waste your time on this place! You will regret it.
We had booked for 4 nites using our Wyndam points. We had stayed in many days inn before with no issues. When we checked into the room, my daughter went to the toilet to have a pee. When she flushed the toilet, it flooded with poo coming back from previous people. I went to reception to tell them that we had a problem in our room. The person on the desk asked me if we had a plunger in the room. I replied yes. I also said the plunger was used with no success. The guy came to the room and tried to use the plunger with no success. we were allocated another room. We did not get any apology for what we had encountered. Surely this is a appalling The corridors smell so bad. Customer services is extremely poor at this place from some of the staff members. I called Wyndham the same night to cancel the rest of our stay but was told we could not get our points back. For this reason we persevered and stayed on. I would never ever stay at this place again.
