We’ve eaten at least twice a year for the last 18 hrs or so here. Portions tend to be far too big. Last night 8 of us had the set menu, which very few restaurants have for 12 50. They do not promote it, but it is excellent value, although not special Service is always attentive and the room is pleasant, with large fish aquariums. Wish they would try just a little bit harder with the menu. It’s either grilled fish or meat. Lots of veggies though
We took friends who were visiting in madeira and had a meal they were very pleased with The service was very friendly and good although the restaurant was very busy. Would go again without hesitation.
We went for dinner with group of 4 and ate at the tetras outside. The service was slow and when the food came we were disappointed. The three grilled items we had selected were all overdone. Tuna was dry and partially burned and chicken was too dry. Pricing was high versus what we have paid in other restaurants in the area, which provided better quality. So in summary disappointed...,..
We decided to try this restaurant as the waiter told me the chef was happy doing GF food. I was not disappointed. My husband decided on some garlic bread which he said was lovely. We were very indecisive so our waiter asked if we like crab to which we said we did. It was not on the menu but he asked if we would like a crab and prawn risotto. He even brought the crab over (from their tank to show us and ask if we were happy with it. We were not disappointed. It arrived in a large serving dish but they also presented the crab shell filled with the risotto and all the claws had been cracked or we were given the utensils to remove the flesh. It was lovely. It was quiet when we first arrived but it soon filled up. A very enjoyable night
