Lugar De Baixo - Ponta Do Sol

Stopped here for coffee before a tour of the BAM banana museum next door and again for lunch afterwards. Tomato and onion soup ok. Coffee ok. Some ok seating outside but noisy on the main road.

Really liked the food here. So far, the best seafood and shellfish I've eaten on the island. Seems a place where the locals eat. The staff were extremely attentive and felt well looked after. The prices were good. Mixed fish, seafood, potatoes and salad €49.95. Beer €4 and pop €2.

The vegetarian soup looked great, but it was completely tasteless. The garlic bread on the other hand did taste garlicky.

The place has a good location but that's the only positive about this place. The staff are uninterested and disengaged, the food is of very poor quality and very expensive. I would not recommend it nor go back ever...
