Quan Ngon Adelaide - Pooraka

Pretty much discovered this place by finishing our photo portraits in a nearby park.The 5 of us selected a Szechuan Steak, Red Curry Duck crock pot & several Pho's.Our meals arrived in short time & they were brilliant in size, taste & presentation.The staff were very attentive & polite - an enjoyable occasion was had, too bad we all live hours away!If anything needs improving its storing more white wine in the fridge as they 1st attempted to offer us a Pinot Grigio from the shelf! Luckily the beer was frosty.

My wife and I went to this restaurant Saturday night before mothers day. Had pulled pork cold rolls, steamed dim sims, seafood hotpot, duck red curry and two vietnamese coffees. It was a fantastic meal and greatly recommend along with the restaurant setting. A little gem!

Ordered home delivered which was prompt and still relatively hot when arrived. However, will not give tuppence for the food - had salt and pepper tofu which was hard, dried and clump together, salt and pepper crab was more like chilli crab and dried up, pork in plum sauce and honey chicken also dried, either overcooked or more like it was made the day before!!! Creamy garlic seafood wasn't anything to rave about, squid was rubbery, got 3 scallops (which at least was cooked they way scallops should be cooked and got 1 prawn - the sauce itself at least was passable!! Very disappointing meal overall and certainly not worth the $70!! (plus extra $5 dollars for delivery which not complaining about as thought that to be reasonable even though recent brochure I had stated $4 within 5km)!!! Least the complementary prawn chips were crunchy!! (Should be given money back refund, that's how notorious the food was in my opinion)!!!! One of the worse takeaway meals I've had in a very long time!!!

Today I enjoyed lunch to celebrate my birthday. I was asked what restaurant I wanted to go to and Quan Ngon was FIRST CHOICE. We used to attend this restaurant often but then we moved a bit further out an now it is special occasion restaurant. AND a special occasion it is, it lives up to that. I wish I could see more business for this hard working couple in the future. The fod today was excellent. We started with Quail and Prawn Cutlets and the main courses were Pho and Moreton Bay Bugs (Yummmm) All was good and thanks to the owners for a great lunch

Great little restaurant. Cheap food and of the best quality. Taste devine all food fantastic quality and quantity.
