Loondocks Restaurant - Port Carling

My husband and a friend happened to arrive at Loondocks after a motorcycle trek and insisted to take me for a second round. Glad he did! Our meals were very appetizing, service was excellent and the view by the river could not have been better! Definitely a place to revisit in Port Carling!

I find that some fine dining restaurants in resort areas try to hard and reach further than the skill of the chef allows. Not so with Loondocks. The chef in this charming spot is obviously skilled enough to carry this feat off with with success. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will return soon.

Was at Loondocks the other night for date night and the service and food was second to none. If your in the Port Carling area it's a must! Thanks for the great service Julia and the incredible food Chef Kevin!

Blown away by this 5-star experience in the heart of Muskoka! After a day on the dock, what a treat to be able to arrive by boat, dine on their cozy patio with a view of the water, and enjoy some of the tastiest local dishes! The atmosphere was friendly and warm from start to finish. We started with the venison carpaccio- wow! Still weeks later we're dreaming of this dish. The veal chop special was incredible- always love to try the daily creations. Gnocchi was of course a big hit, never disappoints, as well as the duck breast! We were so pleased to show our out-of-town guest this wonderful experience, and can't wait to visit again!

We looked forward to our dinner at the restaurant as we had enjoyed an evening there last summer. The service was good and the food delicious. Only hitch was were seated next to a loud women who talked constantly. Not their fault but there were many other tables as the restaurant was not crowded..we would have appreciated sitting at one of the empty tables farther away from other customers.
