La Dolce Vita Bakery - Port Colborne

This is a wonderful bakery. Everything is fresh baked. Their bagels our the best this side of Toronto. They only have them on Tuesdays. The french bread is bien, the italian bread is delizioso. The whole wheat bread is wonderful. They have different types of bread each day. They also make cookies, scones, squares, cakes and croissants.You can check the daily specials on facebook. You can also special order.A young couple owns it and they are very friendly and helpful. Give this place a try, you won't be sorry.

This was my first visit. It seemed to be a popular place and I know why. Great pastry, light and flaky. I had the coconut butter tart and based on my experience, I'll be back to try more.

Probably my favourite place to go to on any day. Their breads are amazing. All their desserts are phenomenal. They take special orders. I can honestly say that I go there at least 4 times a week. I can promise you that it's worth the drive if your from out of town. And of course the owners could teach a customer service course all day long. I highly recommend La Dolce Vita.

I recently moved to Port Colborne in March 2016 and have been anticipating a visit to this shop on Main St. Despite it taking me months to stop in here, I wasn't disappointed. Having lived in Waterloo previously, I was used to many specialty and artisan bakeries. What a gem this small town has! Their breads are out of this world with daily varieties being offered and am anticipating trying out the caramelized onion and cheese bread on Friday! The pastries are second to none and for once I don't feel like I bit into a sugar cube when eating a pecan tart! You have to stop here......period!

Not only was the carrot cake amazing, the service was great, too! I have had many carrot cakes in my day, and must note that this was one of the best. Tasty and super fresh with a perfect cream cheese frosting made this cake completely irresistible. it is okay to have cake for breakfast. right!? The cake was tastefully decorated and looked like care was put into it. I can't wait for our next occasion to try out another variety!
