Our Calamari entree was big enough to share and very tender. We followed this with Morton Bay Bugs and whole deep fried Baby Barramundi which were both delicious. Overall a wonderful evening.
Down beach end of town just near round about as you enter Port Douglas pleasant menu with good wine &cocktail list Attentive staff enjoyed it both times we were there Plenty of passing cars & pedestrians to watch as you sit back and enjoy yourself
We both chose the coconut prawn dish which when it arrived wasn't exactly as it was described on the menu. The waitress explained that it was a new dish. It was nevertheless a very tasty plate of grilled prawns with an asian inspired coconut sauce. Our second dish was the three pepper calamari. It was my favourite and possible the best calamari dish I have ever had. The pickled paw paw, coriander, chilli and the sauce added heaps of flavour. We had a most enjoyable evening and were very well looked after.
If we didn't know that 2Fish had recently won best seafood restaurant in Australia award we would have thought it a nice meal. However, with this heady title naturally our expectations were raised but unfortunately not met. We are spoilt in Adelaide with an abundance of delicious fresh seafood and such good restaurants that would have beaten this one hands down. One wonders at objectivity of judging. Highlight was Connor our charming travelling American waiter.
Food average and some of the portion sizes are small--particularly the starters. The haloumi we shared as a starter was not great and the portion was ridiculously small. The price for what you received was expensive even by Port Douglas standards.
