Court House Hotel Port Douglas

A long wait time for average food. Apparently the burger had to come with red onion and it couldn't be left off. So much potential but having to go up and down stairs to order food and then drinks in different places. A little organisation could go a long way...and better food.

Spur of the moment choice for lunch. Loved it! The bucket of prawns was amazing! And the battered Barra was yum!!! Great spot with very friendly staff, and the music was brilliant!!!

Please management give the non smokers some respect. Amazing pub , beautiful location, cold beer but unable to stay long as the smokers have the right of way Anti cancer council need to visit this pub sooner rather than later

Was disappointed with my meal really based on the flavour, and portion size for the cost of it. This establishment ticks the boxes for atmosphere and good decor but missed the mark on the food. I ordered the garlic prawns and swapped out the rice for chips for $26. I was expecting large pan fired or grilled garlic prawns but they were swimming in a cheap horrendous white sauce, which I could mainly taste cheap flour. The prawns themselves were good but drowned in this hideous sauce. In another ramekin a fresh salad had been served, couldn't quite figure out why it was served in a ramekin. It hadn't been chopped up - guessing straight out of the packet into the ramekin, decent size but could do with a few more additions to the salad. Chips portion was good, obviously not freshly made though. I was expecting a lot more for my $26 and the prawns where butchered in this sauce. Service and staff are friendly and welcoming. The rear dinning area is good - away from the main bar and entertainment going on. Based on this experience I wouldn't eat there again.

... but was pleasantly surprised. We had the $26 steak special and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Took around 45 mins as the pub was packed, not unreasonable at all. Not budget but good food in a great spot.
