Estilo @ QT Port Douglas

So sad, last time we were here this place was much better, now it has rude untrained staff and very long waits for food and drink. Still a beautiful resort, didn't recognise a single member of staff from my last visit. Maybe the new team just need more a bit more time?

My last bad tripadvisor review was for Estilo. I did hope that things might have improved in 2 years, but sadly no!Friendly enough staff and a good range of wines, beers and cocktails. The food when you can get it varies from excellent to "been under the heater light since yesterday".We ordered 5 lots of food for our table. After a reasonable time, one pizza and burger arrived, nothing else. No staff clearing glasses or offering more drinks. 20 minutes later the rest of us enquired as to what happened to the other orders. Still empty glasses left.The barman checked and found that the order had not gone to the kitchen (10 metres away) No apology, still no glasses cleared. We were hungry so decided to persevere with some of the orders, one requested his money back and got it (no apology) The chips (not the "Loaded Fries" ordered) and pizza that did arrive were really good. One of the guests at the table handed the waiter empty glasses. Eventually the second pizza arrived also good but undercooked, no second serve of chips. No glasses or plates cleared. When asked about the other serve of chips the waiter/ barman looked over, saw them sitting on the counter and brought them to our table. No glasses cleared, no apology, no plates cleared. If it had been anything like busy perhaps some of this could be excused. Pretty much everybody at the table is either in hospitality or has past experience. You have definitely lost 10 customers today. Twice bitten is once too often for me!

Great place to enjoy a cool drink or beverage however during the Off peak season the place is poorly staffed

Omg, go here for the pizza, spot-on! Wood fired. Lovely atmosphere and good service. Extensive beverage choices:

A very pleasant place to kick back and chill with one of their delicious cocktails or more prosaic wine, cider or beers (usual variety).I tried their Dirty Martini on the first day (not bad) and since then their Tiki (very nice), Gin G, Negri and mango dakarai. At $17 a pop, not a great incentive to try more!But friendly staff, cool music and a very relaxed vibe all combine to make this bar a pleasant place to meet up with fellow guests and relax.Recommend!
