The coffee was definitely good, no doubt about it. The food was just okay, nothing special. The eggs benedict sauce tasted like it was instant. It wasn't busy when we arrived. We love having breakfast or brunch and have tried some really nice options before. We were expecting Safavi, with its high rating, to be just as good.
Safavi is on busy Florence Street in Port Pirie and you'd be lucky to get a park right out the front. There is a large open park on the other side of the street that's probably easier. The Cafe is in a beautiful old Church building and has a huge space inside with dark, polished floorboards. Due to this it would be hard to cool on a hot summer day. Coffee is Vittoria and is always served extra hot. Flavour was average.
Expensive takeout meal on Saturday, November 27th costing $22.50 for fish and chips. I must have been crazy to pay that much, I should have just left. I thought maybe the price meant it would be good, but I was wrong. The food was extremely poor quality - the fish seemed like it came from a bulk frozen food packet you can buy at supermarkets. It did not taste good at all, I couldn't eat it and ended up throwing it away. I will never be going back and I would not recommend this place to anyone. My advice: stay away from these high prices and low quality food.
Great place! So clean, pretty too! Amazing customer service! Very fast between order and our meals... like 5 minutes? The food is phenomenal! The icy chocolate is the dream of a sweet tooth! I will definitely be back! Thanks again!
