The Killeshin - Portlaoise

Surprisingly lovely food, great room and I enjoyed the jacuzzi and sauna

Booked an overnight stay here. The bar is more of a cafe that serves drinks. Food is if poor quality IMO. After dinner as the bar/restaurant was extremely loud and uncomfortable we went in search of a place to relax. The outside area was suggested which has really poor quality seating with no cushions and the place is grubby. We opted to stay in the reception/foyer area for a bit but the kitchen uses this space to bring food from the kitchen to the restaurant and bar which I find bizzare. . The smell of chips and other deep fried food going through the foyer continuously while the restaurant is open is off putting. You also have to book the bar which is gives an unwelcoming feeling. Overall while the staff were polite the process the follow in the reception and bar make you feel like your in a distrusting place.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Drinks overpriced and glasses could have been cleaner.

Fabulous hotel we had a great stay. Lovely hotel room, loved the Elemis products in the bathroom and to finish off a lovely stay, we had a fabulous breakfast! We will be booking in again, looking forward to return
